This deep hybrid ‘4x’ strategy game, from developer Shining Pixel Studios (lead by Bob Smith, known from the Total Wars series), continues the great tradition of space opera games.

You guide your race from its first interstellar journeys until it becomes a mighty galactic empire. Along the way, you’ll explore the galaxy, conduct research, diplomacy and trade with the other races, found new colonies, maneuver mighty star fleets, and fight epic battles.

The Klurgu are a brutal bipedal race, intent on their own survival to the exclusion of all others. Their unusual six eyed arrangement gives them a wide range of sensory abilities, but nevertheless, they prefer to solve problems with overwhelming force, rather than more subtle means.

Having destroyed all the other large species on their home planet, they are now bent on ridding the universe of competing life forms. This gives them a unity of purpose, and a willingness to be in a perpetual state of war, but they are hardly the galaxy´s most popular citizens.

They are pragmatic enough to deal with other species when necessary, but those who trusted them did not survive long enough to regret it. I mean, would you trust and do business with an organization that will happily sell you a new razor, who would then use it to cut your throat? I don’t think so...

And if you thought these guys were bad... Just wait till you meet The True Klurgu! They are an extreme sect that take hatred of other species to a whole other level. They refuse any contact with alien species, and they are at war-mode 24/7. Their only purpose is to eliminate as many competing life forms as possible. So don’t say I didn’t warn you!
