Armada Race Reveal Part 9
Tuesday, 22 June 2010 12:23

Hello everybody!                                                                                  4 working days to release!

Logik-resized

Leading up to the UK release and starting Friday June 11th, there will be 12 daily posts on our cool upcoming release “Armada 2526”. This deep hybrid ‘4x’ strategy game, from developer Shining Pixel Studios (lead by Bob Smith, known from the Total Wars series), continues the great tradition of space opera games. You guide your race from its first interstellar journeys until it becomes a mighty galactic empire. Along the way, you’ll explore the galaxy, conduct research, diplomacy and trade with the other races, found new colonies, maneuver mighty star fleets, and fight epic battles.

There are twelve different races, with each race possessing a distinct set of racial traits. Each race has at least one faction - some have more, each bearing a close resemblance to the main strain of their race but often possessing slightly different traits or victory conditions.

In these posts the twelve different races are going to be revealed, especially for you! This handy information helps you to prepare yourself for trading with the different races and spotting weaknesses and strengths in order to achieve the ultimate goal of galactic dominance!

CHAPTER 9: the LOGIK

The Logik are a synthetic race of intelligent robots controlled by massive central computers known as ‘Cores’.

While this centralized approach has many strengths, they recognize that it may also be a source of vulnerability. Thus they created the Fork; an entirely separate colony of the Logik. They are suppose to develop in their own way, and hopefully avoid any weaknesses that might lead to the downfall of the main group. Like the original Logic, they are efficient and orderly, but not very creative.

With everything centrally planned, and no internal dissent or bureaucracy, their spread through the universe is efficient and inexorable.

Well, that’s it for today! But make sure to come back tomorrow for chapter 10; the Pirate!
