The Darkness Within Collector’s Edition retail box bundles Lovecraft-inspired horror adventure games Darkness Within: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder and its saga-concluding sequel Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage, as well as exclusive bonus materials. The Collector’s Edition is set to hit retail shops across the UK, Nordic, Benelux and German territories on - very fittingly - Friday the 13th of May 2011.

Having been released from the mental hospital where you unsurprisingly ended up, you will have to investigate by who and why you were set free. This leads you to the depressing town Arkhamend where a Victorian mansion hides some terrible secrets, as does your own past. As the atmosphere grows darker, so do the surroundings, leading you to forbidden, snow-clad woods with dim underground buildings and tunnels, filled with demons and forgotten creatures of the past. As events take a turn for the worse and the weird, the game has two endings,  in typical ‘Lovecraftian’-style…
